The Emergency Department at UVA is a level 1 trauma center and regional referral center. The Emergency Department currently has three adult trauma bays and one pediatric trauma bay. Our ED also houses a comprehensive stroke center. With specialties such as neurosciences, specialized heart and vascular center, and transplant offered 24 hours a day, we provide care to patients from all over the state and adjoining states. Minimum Requirements
