The Survey Methodology Program (SMP) in the Survey Research Center at the Institute for Social Research seeks a highly motivated, professional and dynamic Program Coordinator to provide administrative support necessary for efficient operation to our educational programs. Reporting to the Student Administration Manager, you will provide critical support for areas of recruitment, admissions, events, and administration. 30% Admin of Educational Programs Under the supervision of the Student Administration Manager, support the coordination of all activities related to SMP's educational programs, including Program in Survey and Data Science and the Summer Institute in Survey Research Techniques. Schedule and facilitate administrative meetings to develop the annual education program's calendar and provide logistical support for instructors and classroom needs as required. Assist with relevant portions of the admission process, including reviewing applicant materials, communicating with prospective students, and coordinating with faculty and staff responsible for final admissions and funding decisions. Maintain a working knowledge of university policies related to visa requirements, accounts payable and receivables, and perform financial reconciliations to ensure accuracy. Provide support in annual budget planning and reconciliation processes. 25% Advertising and Recruitment of Educational Programs Oversee the planning, execution and evaluation of marketing and recruitment strategies for all educational programs within SMP. Coordinate annual initiatives to promote these programs, ensuring alignment with institutional goals. Develop and manage a comprehensive promotional calendar, including the creation of marketing materials aimed at increasing program visibility and attracting prospective students. Analyze outcomes from previous years to inform data-driven recommendations for continuous improvement. Represent the department at recruitment events as needed, supporting broader marketing and enrollment objectives. Design and implement an annual outreach plan leveraging social media, email campaigns, and other relevant platforms to enhance the visibility of SMP's educational offerings across the U-M campus and beyond, in collaboration with the Student Administration Manager. 25% Website and Database Management Collaborate with the Student Administration Manager, SMP faculty, ISR Computing, Media, and Technology (CMT), and ISR Communication Department to maintain and enhance the SMP education program websites. Ensure timely implementation of annual content updates in accordance with established deadlines. Regularly audit website functionality, including verifying active links and addressing technical issues. Coordinate with Computing, Media, and Technology (CMT) on matters such as Google indexing reports, content management system upgrades, and design enhancements. Oversee updates and user access for student and alumni portals. Maintain and update program databases with accurate, up-to-date information. Leverage insights from Google Analytics and indexing reports to inform website improvements and future planning. 20% Overall Support Provide advanced administrative support to SMP faculty, including program director(s), the Student Administration Manager and the academic advisor. Participate in weekly meetings with the Student Administration Manager to access priorities, address emerging needs, and ensure the smooth operation of all education programs within SMP. Senior Level
