| The Department of History in the College of Arts and Humanities invites applications and nominations for the position of Assistant Professor (tenure-track) of U.S. Public History, with a preference for scholars whose teaching and research connect historical research to applied and experiential contexts—especially in material culture or museum studies, the history of science and technology, digital history, military history, or environmental history. The home campus for this position will be the Statesboro campus. Georgia Southern University is the state's largest and most comprehensive center of higher education south of Atlanta. Reporting to the department chair, the tenure-track Assistant Professor position requires a 3-3 teaching load with an expectation of research and service. The position is a tenure-track academic year appointment (10 month).
