![]() Assistant Professor / Associate Professor of Finance Campus Title: Assistant Professor / Associate Professor of Finance State Job Title: Assistant Professor / Associate Professor Department: Accounting and Finance Job Code: HA3200 / HA3100 FLSA Status: Exempt Funding: 7115-0100 Bargaining Unit: MSCA Job Type: Full-time, Tenure Track Timeframe: Academic Calendar Shift: TBD Regular Days Off: Saturday and Sunday Supervision Received: Reports to the chair of the Department of Finance Supervision Exercised: None Salary: $110,000.00-$120,000.00 (Salary commensurate to education and experience) General Statement of Duties: Westfield State University (WSU) department of Accounting and Finance invites applications for a full-time tenure-track Assistant Professor or Associate Professor of Finance beginning in the Fall of 2026. The selected candidate will teach courses in Financial Management, Advanced Financial Management, Personal Financial Planning, and Wealth Management as needed. In addition to teaching, faculty provide advising to students, support student events and clubs, engage in research and scholarship, and participate in service activities for the department and university. In 2024, WSU opened a Finance/Data Analytics lab that provides almost $500,000 of hardware and software to support experiential exercises in portfolio management and market dynamics, and gives students access to tools widely used by industry professionals. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to help build out the finance curriculum and co-curriculum to leverage these resources. In addition, faculty have access to Bloomberg to further their own research. Accounting and Finance is a growing department, with several new initiatives planned.
