Unit Director, Emergency Services

| Reporting to the Nursing Director, the Unit Director of the Emergency Department for UCSF Community Hospitals holds 24-hour responsibility for nursing and operational leadership across two ED campuses. The director ensures safe, high-quality, equitable care; drives throughput from arrival to disposition; and maintains continuous readiness for CMS/TJC/EMTALA standards. Core accountabilities include operational planning and direction, financial performance, performance improvement/CAPA, human resources (hiring, onboarding, scheduling, competency), evaluation of care, patient experience/service recovery, and partnership with ancillary services to remove barriers. The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy. Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement. The salary range for this position is $253,900 - $269,400 (Annual Rate).
