Position SummarySeeking an experienced clinical critical care RN leader with at least 5 years of direct bedside experience. This is a leadership role focused on clinical expertise, mentoring, and quality improvement. While the Clinical Nurse Attending does not have formal direct reports, they provide leadership through subject matter expertise, collaboration, and by influencing practice at the bedside. The role empowers nurses, supports growth, and drives improvements in quality and patient outcomes. The incumbent will support our bedside nurses on our specialty CVICU unit. This is a evening shift, Monday-Friday 3pm-1am (4/10’s). Must have BSN or graduate level degree. Must have a national certification or open to attaining one within 6 months. Examples include: CCRN: Certified Critical Care Nurse, CEN: Certified Emergency Nurse or CPN: Certified Pediatric Nurse. The incumbent will need to have a strong leadership and clinical skill set in the critical care specialties, change agent mentality, and passion for quality and safety. Strong clinical experience along with education, collaboration and quality and safety work is required. The Clinical Nurse Attending prepares highly skilled nurses focused on improving quality and safety outcomes for patients or patient populations. The Clinical Nurse Attending assumes accountability for patient-care outcomes through the translation of evidence-based information to design, implement, and evaluate patient-care processes and models of care delivery.
