Landscape Superintendent

John’s Island Club, a premier private club, is seeking an experienced and motivated Landscape Superintendent to lead and support the daily operations of our Landscape Department. This full-time, year-round position is responsible for managing a team and upholding the club’s exceptional landscape and horticultural standards. Key Responsibilities:

• Implements and oversees the planning, implementation, and maintenance of all landscaping across Club grounds and golf courses, ensuring the highest standards and aesthetic appeal.
• Coordinates the scheduling and execution of projects, including the allocation of resources, materials, and personnel.
• Inspects landscapes daily, identifies issues, implements solutions, and recommends long-term improvements.
• Manages department personnel, providing coaching, training, guidance, and performance evaluations, while promoting safety and efficiency.
• Develops and manages budgets and procurement, and maintains detailed records for expenditures, equipment, chemicals, and safety compliance.
• Ensures the safe and proper use, storage, application, and disposal of chemicals, pesticides, and other materials, applying Integrated Pest Management (IPM) practices.
• Drives continuous improvement by staying current with industry best practices, design trends, and new technologies through seminars, site visits, and technical literature.
