The Position:

The IT Systems/Database Administrator, an essential part of the NGCOA team, will oversee cloud systems, processes, SOPs, services and data retention operational activities for NGCOA. The Systems/Database Administrator reports directly to the Chief Operating Officer. 

The primary responsibilities of this job involve the following:

  • Pull reports and queries as necessary from NGCOA’s Association Management System (AMS) database, Nimble AMS (Salesforce environment)
  • Update and assure Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are being followed and processes are in place
  • Update and assure NGCOA’s executive dashboard is being populated with the latest analytics
  • Work with all departments not only as support but also as extended staff to pull unique email lists, help with invoicing as needed, manage data quality, and solve data or system related problems as they arise 
  • Set up events and registration process in AMS
  • Assist with annual events, manage registration data, and mobile event apps
  • Assist with Google’s G-suite administration and other IT systems
  • Handle support cases and serve as the liaison between NGCOA and database company Nimble AMS, part of Momentive Software
  • Explore how Salesforce apps or 3rd party AI apps can enhance our operations and create efficiency

Success in this job is measured by ability to support departments needs, maintain data quality, adherence to SOPs, and manage overall system and processes.

Ideal Candidate:

The successful candidate is simply an all-around operational athlete with great fluency in systems and data administration. You are a problem solver, team player, and have a tremendous work ethic. You have fresh ideas and are always looking to automate or improve on work-flow and efforts. You should be experienced with budgeting, planning, monitoring KPIs, etc. Your resume and references must demonstrate success and attention to detail. You will work closely with all staff at NGCOA in events, education, marketing, advocacy, corporate partnerships, accounting, and the executive team to execute NGCOA’s plans. Bonus points if you already understand associations (non-profits).

Requirements:

  • Undergraduate degree
  • Three or more years of professional experience in non profit AMS systems, data administration, or similar field
  • Familiarity with Quickbooks
  • Proficiency with AMS or CRM database enterprise systems, reporting, and queries
  • Knowledge of Salesforce or Nimble AMS preferred but not required
  • Proficient in Google’s G-suite environment.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to provide recommendations based on insights
  • Solid work ethic, and positive, get-it-done attitude
  • Self-motivated enough to work alone, but confident enough to work with a team

Hybrid/Remote work is allowed.

Additional Salary Information: Compensation will be based on the candidate’s experience and skills, as well as range commensurate with organizations of similar size and scope of NGCOA.
