Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) or equivalent certification required.

Four and a half days per week, no nights, weekends or holidays.

 $32.29-$50.46 hourly rate, depending on experience.

JOB SUMMARY/SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY:

Responsible for performing vascular ultrasound procedures, interpreting scans for diagnostic qualities and maintaining the Ultrasound Unit. Under the direction of a qualified physician and the supervision of the Unit Coordinator of Ultrasound, responsible for performing ultrasound procedures and the operation of the unit on assigned shift as scheduled.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

1. Performs vascular ultrasound procedures.
2. Correlates patient’s clinical history and obtains pertinent diagnostic information.
3. Interprets scans for diagnostic quality.
4. Develops and maintains skills required for new exam and equipment.
5. Prepares and instructs patient for the procedure.
6. Reconciles, acquires and processes images in the PACS settings.
7. Performs specialized ultrasound guided biopsies.
8. Performs quality assurance checks as required.
9. Applies appropriate functions and applications within the Radiology Information System (RIS).
10. Maintains all records and daily log.
11. Contributes to a positive work climate and the overall team effort of the department and maintains a "CAN DO" attitude.
12. Performs related responsibilities as required or directed.
