| Assistant Professor- Modern Languages and Comparative Literature- Sephardic Studies FACULTY VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT "At Baruch College we believe that student success is everyone?s responsibility" The Department of Modern Language and Comparative Literature at Baruch College of the City University of New York invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor in Sephardic Studies, to begin in Fall 2026. We seek a scholar whose research and teaching engage the history, cultures, languages, and/ or literatures of Sephardic Jews in Latin America. We welcome applicants whose work is grounded in innovative methodologies and engages with transnational, diasporic, or comparative frameworks. Candidates should have a strong research agenda, demonstrated potential for scholarly excellence, and a commitment to undergraduate and graduate teaching. The successful candidate will contribute to our core curriculum and be able to teach courses in Comparative Literature and Jewish Studies program. Affiliation with the Wasserman Jewish Studies Center is expected. Responsibilities:
