The University at Albany is seeking highly qualified applicants for a Head Football Coach (Division I FCS). The Head Coach will be responsible and accountable for all aspects of the program including recruiting, official and unofficial visits, practice planning, game preparation and scouting, scheduling of contests in conjunction with the sport administrator, student-athlete welfare, academic compliance and monitoring, NCAA, Conference and University rules compliance, fundraising and community service.   •    A bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution required, master’s degree preferred.
    •    A minimum of 5-7 years of coaching experience at the high school level or above, college and professional coaching experience is preferred. Successful experience as a graduate assistant or intern in an athletic program is acceptable for up to one-year of the required experience
    •    Knowledge of NCAA rules
    •    Skills: Strong interpersonal, organizational, administrative, verbal and written communication skills are required. Computer skills with a general knowledge of ARMS software and the ability to learn additional software programs as needed. 
    •    The ability to work with people in a multi-ethnic environment is required.
    •    The ability to develop knowledge of, respect for, and skills to engage with those other cultures or backgrounds is required.
    •    The scope of this position requires weekend, evening, and possible holiday hours.
    •    The Football program is a member of the Coastal Athletic Association (CAA).
