Faculty Practice Manager

Position Summary:

• Provides supervision for the Ambulatory Medical Pavilion clinical practice personnel (front desk, billers, and clinical staff) and guidance on all matters affecting the clinical practice. 
• Participates effectively in personnel matters, coordinates functions of staff, reassigning and distributing work assignments, and evaluates the education and training needs of personnel and directs development and implementation of in-service programs. 
• Supervises and conducts performance evaluations of clinical practice personnel and ensures that the staff is evaluated on their knowledge of and adherence to the clinical practice's policies and procedures. Provides appropriate management interventions in an effective manner. 
• Performs and recommends the hiring, firing, training, performance recognition/assessment, discipline, timekeeping, record keeping, policy implementation, promoting and other personnel actions. 
• Performs personnel management functions such as establishing personnel qualification requirements, drafting procedure manuals and installing record and reporting systems. 

Minimum Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree in a relevant social or health care field; plus five (5) years of related experience preferably in a professional practice setting. 
• One (1) year of prior supervisory or lead experience required.  
• Equivalent experience, education and/or training may be substituted for the education requirements.

• Physical Demands:  Standing, sitting, walking, talking and hearing. Ability to lift 25 lbs. 
• Work Environment:  Clinical Office environment. Moderate Noise. 

Special Conditions:

• May be required to work evenings and weekends at various locations depending on need.
