| The Grier School, an all girls’ private boarding/day school outside of Tyrone, PA in the mountainside village of Birmingham has openings due to a growing enrollment for the 2025-2026 school year. Grier is internationally and nationally known. Class sizes average between 8-10 students. Grier has exciting opportunities for qualified candidates in the following position: Business Office Director Supervise, monitor, and evaluate day-to-day accounting activities. Establish financial status by developing and implementing systems for collecting, analyzing, verifying, and reporting financial information. Division/Department: Financial / Business Office Reports to: Director Essential Duties and Responsibilities, including, but not limited to: · Manage Accounts Payables · Manage Student Accounts: Tuitions/Activities/Camps · Manage Grier students’ organizations’ account (School Club Accounts) · Prepare, copy, and make deposits for business accounts · Maintain office petty cash and Summer Camp cash requests · Order, prepare, and reconcile all weekly transactions for Trips Petty cash fund · Prepare and print business office financial reports for Board meetings · Establish, maintain, and print “special” reports and lists as needed for different departments · Configure and maintain all aspects of the Blackbaud computer system for A.P. · Enter, maintain, and track Vendor files, records, invoices, credits, debits, and projects · Print, prepare, and mail vendor checks · Enter and record all weekly check payables to banks through Positive Pay System · Track all 1099 vendor information; and print, prepare, and mail 1099 tax forms

Fall: · Attend the following: End of the Semester Music Review, Dance Performance, and Music Performance · Opening Weekend · Parents’ Weekend Spring: · Attend the following: Senior Music or Dance Performance · Graduation Physical and/or other job Requirements: · Establish, configure, and maintain Blackbaud computer system components for billing information, scholarships, fees, and schedules, codes, and tables · Enter transactions: credits, debits, charges, payments, deposits · Prepare, organize and generate student and Summer Camp billing and invoices · Prepare and maintain all reports and queries · Organize and print account refunds Education and/or Work Experience Requirements: · Bachelor’s degree and five or more years of accounting experience · Master’s degree preferred · Experience working with generally accepted accounting principles and accounting software · Strong personal computer and business solutions software skills · Good communication skills for communicating with support personnel and management · Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. · High attention to detail, accuracy and confidentiality Applicants must be passionate about education and have a willingness to engage in a boarding school environment. They should also be able to obtain the following clearances: Act 34, Act 151, FBI Fingerprint Clearance, and Act 126. This position is a year-round position with very generous leave.
