Coaching & Counseling: Provides coaching and counseling support to employee resource networks leadership team about topics related to building internal and external relationships, cultivating external relationships, conflict management, leading teams, leading projects, and managing up, and other competency areas as needed. 2. Leadership Team Design and Development: Coordinates Learning & Development sessions for the leadership of the ten employee resources groups; leaders, steering committee members, and sub-committee co-chairs. Training will align with the four competencies: Career Development, Culture & Climate, Community Engagement, and Employment Excellence. 3. Office Leadership and Supervision: Provides leadership and direction for the employee resource groups and oversees temporary and interns and delegates work assignments. 4. Tracking: Maintains a case management file to organize, manage, and track events related to the Yale employee resource networks/groups. Prepares annual strategic planning document and semi-annual reports regarding program utilization, expenses, cost per person, and measurements against annual goal for the employee resource networks. 5. Training & Climate Assessment: Works with each of the employee resource groups to interpret, develop and assess biennial Employee Engagement Survey data and formation of Action plans. Guides the Action plans of each employee resource network to strengthen workplace culture & climate. 6. Program Implementation & Project Management: Supports and directs the implementation of up to 300+ activities, events, workshops, interviews, etc. designated by the respective employee resource networks. 7. Campus-Wide Collaboration: Collaborates regularly with University departments and schools such New Haven Hiring Initiative, Work +Life, Cultural Centers, student groups, and other campus partners to continuously advance community engagement and acceptance. 8. New Hire Orientation & Panelist: responsible for the delivery of overview of Employee Engagement & Workplace Culture, Employee Resources Groups in new hire orientation and will serves as an panelist. This position supports approximately 35 annual community resource fairs, promoting, Yale affinity groups, job recruitment and retention, and branding Yale to Greater New Haven Community as an employer of choice. 9. External Recruitment: In partnership with the New Haven Hiring Initiative, this position will be responsible for ensuring coordination and solicitation of applications for open University positions during external employee resource network events and partnerships. 10. Marketing, Communication and Website Development & Maintenance: this position will manage Employee Resource Group websites, newsletters, social media and e-mail accounts for the respective groups by posting and responding to inquiries. Ensure existing content is current, uploading all new programs and event details. Ensures that employee interviews and spotlights are completed and promoted on a monthly basis. 11. Diversity Technology, Data & Metrics: this position will routinely utilize WorkDay, Yale Connect, Eventbrite, Qualtrics, Excel and Google Docs, for course registration, data tracking and reporting. Data is used to create monthly and quarterly affinity groups metric reports, annual strategic planning document examine past event success, forecast future organizational needs, and track progress. 12. Presentation, Facilitation and Training: responsible for the design, delivery, and execution of several workshops; Everything You Need to Know about An Employee Resource Group, Building Community Allies, New Employee Staff Orientation, Departmental orientations, and other topics as needed. Serve as a facilitator for various employee resource group events.
Required Experience 3- 5 years of experience working directly with employee resource groups development and growth
Principal Responsibilities 1. In support of the overall mission, plans, directs, and oversees programmatic activities. Assumes primary accountability for disseminating and publishing all program information to create public awareness and support of the program. 2. Works closely with leadership, internal and external colleagues, and community residents to further develop and implement strategic plans. 3. Oversees the development of detailed plans and successful implementation of projects in concert with stakeholders. 4. Works closely with business analysts, technical professionals, end users, and project stakeholders during the requirements, solutions design, and implementation phases to develop detailed project plans for implementation. 5. Oversees and trains all student employees and summer program staff. 6. Develops the administrative infrastructure of the program that supports the strategic direction of the program from leadership. Oversees human resource and administrative functions of the program. 8. Investigates, identifies, implements, and oversees the maintenance of systems to gather, track and report information to support the initiatives of the program. Tracks all program activities and regularly informs leadership of progress on each initiative. Recommends structural or programmatic adjustments, changes or additions based on full knowledge of missions, goals and objectives. 9. Works on risk assessment, communication planning, and program entry criteria. 10. Create detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation, to ensure the successful completion of the project. 11. Manages client expectations and provides issue/risk identification and escalation pathways. 12. Analyzes user needs and proposes new training programs or systems. 13. Designs, develops, and executes communication systems to ensure effective exchange of information between project stakeholders, senior management, and staff.Required Education and Experience Bachelor's Degree in a related field and four years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
