| University Architect Level 2 GENERAL DUTIES This class of positions encompasses professional architectural work and project management of the University's Capital and Rehabilitation Construction program. There are three assignment levels within this class of positions. At each level a University Architect may sign and seal architectural drawings for which that individual has supervisory or preparatory responsibility, and may sign other official documents. All personnel perform related work. Assignment Level I Under general supervision, performs difficult and responsible architectural work as the following:

Assignment Level III Under general direction, with wide latitude for the exercise of independent initiative and judgment is responsible for providing architectural related management services for projects of varied complexity for all phases of the planning, design, construction and occupancy such as the following:

Baruch College Campus Facilities has over 140 administrative, professional, custodial, and trades staff. The Facilities Planning Office within the Campus Facilities is responsible for the College's planning, design, and construction projects. The Office also manages the space programming; enhancements and renovations throughout the campus; the annual capital plan submission; and signage. The Office is supported by the Project Managers, Interior Designer, and others. The University Architect will be responsible for maintaining all the floor plans and architectural changes within the College. Assignment Level II: Under general supervision, the selected candidate will monitor and review Architectural plans, projects and/or supervises the execution of campus rehabilitation and alteration projects. Such work includes: · Administers space planning using Archibus, AutoCAD and various Microsoft software platforms · Oversees all architectural work including preliminary research, surveys, drawing development, contract preparation, installation and field inspection. · Assists in the development and implementation of architectural and space standards, policies and procedures for the College. · Conducts thorough review of architectural plans for capital projects, as assigned. · Prepares project status reports, as assigned. · Attends capital project meetings, providing architectural support to ensure college and industry standards are being met during schematic design and projects in construction. · Prepares drawings, specifications, sketches and cost estimates for all assigned projects. · Collaborate with CUNY Central office on Archibus special updates and changes. · Continually updates the Architectural Plan book of the College to keep other departments informed on space. · Representing the Facilities Planning Director at various meetings with CUNY and DASNY as it relates to Capital and Reso A projects. · Assist the Director of capital planning in the annual preparation and prioritization of capital project and related budget submissions. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS A valid New York Registration as an Architect and four years of full-time experience in professional architecture work. Note: In addition, the candidates are required to have one year of project management experience for assignment Level II; and two years of project management experience for Level III. A graduate degree in a management field from an accredited college may be substituted for one year of experience for Level III. COMPENSATION New hire: $90,858* Incumbent: $102,666 *This amount reflects a 13% salary suppression in effect for the first 24 months of employment.
