Vice President, Finance & Accounting

| Position Overview Reporting directly to the President & CEO, the Vice President, Finance & Accounting will provide hands-on leadership for the Society’s financial function, including responsibility for developing budgets, producing timely financial forecasts, managing the month-end financial closing and reports, overseeing the accounts receivable and accounts payable functions, maintaining an effective system of financial and other internal controls, approving payroll, preparing the Form 990 and other public reports, reviewing contracts, and managing a full-time Senior Accountant. The Vice President, Finance & Accounting will be a key member of the Society’s senior management team, working closing alongside the President & CEO, the General Counsel & Chief Knowledge Officer, the Chief Membership and Marketing Officer, as well as others on the staff in developing and executing the Society’s strategic and operating plans. The individual will serve as the primary management-level liaison to the Society’s independent auditor, investment manager, and other third-party financial institutions and vendors. The Vice President, Finance & Accounting will also have primary responsibility for supporting the Society’s Audit and Finance Committee and for reporting to the Society’s Board of Directors on financial matters. Salary, Benefits, Location This is a full-time position in NYC. The base salary range for this position is $150,000 to $165,000, commensurate with experience and final location. The position is bonus eligible. The Society works a 35-hour work week and we offer a generous benefits package including health, dental and vision, 401k match, and paid time off, in addition to federal holidays.
