| Department Office of Religious Life Category Administrative Support Job Type Part-Time Overview The Office of Religious Life is seeking applicants to support the Muslim Life Program.
The Assistant to the Assistant Dean provides administrative support to the Assistant Dean for Muslim Life in the Office of Religious Life. The position reports to the Assistant Dean, the Muslim Chaplain on campus, and is the key contact on administrative issues for the Muslim Life Program at Princeton.
This position supports the Assistant Dean by coordinating meetings and keeping the Assistant Dean's calendar, collecting and sharing information, preparing reports, managing social media and communications, maintaining financial and other records, and completing special projects as assigned. The incumbent also works with the Muslim Students Association board leadership and ensures all documents are submitted accurately and timely.
The candidate must have excellent organizational and writing skills, and experience working with students in an academic setting.
This professional will join an office that offers a challenging and supportive work environment. Dedicated staff members within the office collaborate to improve the experience of all Muslim students at Princeton. The position requires core competency and a personality given to caregiving as a compassionate presence in the lives of the students, staff, faculty, and community members who gather regularly on campus.
This is a part-time, benefits eligible position. Responsibilities Administrative Support: Drafting, editing, researching, compiling, and following-up on correspondence
Communications: Manage and maintain the MLP website
Financial Management: Manage the Muslim Life Program budget and all related expenses
Meeting and Events Support: Coordinate and communicate the activities of the Assistant Dean by scheduling meetings, creating agendas, taking minutes, and following up on assigned tasks to ensure they are completed Qualifications ESSENTIAL Minimum Required Knowledge, Skills, Competencies, and Abilities
At least 1-2 years of related experience is necessary
