| The Missouri Public Service Commission is seeking a self-directed, detail-oriented individual for the position of Lead Senior Utility Regulatory Auditor in our Water, Sewer, Gas, and Steam Department in the Jefferson City office. Job Location: This position is located at 200 Madison Street, Jefferson City, MO 65102 Why you’ll love this position: The Missouri Public Service Commission regulates investor-owned electric, natural gas, steam, water and sewer utilities in Missouri. We ensure that Missourians receive safe and reliable utility services at just, reasonable and affordable rates. The Water, Sewer, Gas, and Steam Department performs evaluations and on-going reviews of all tariff filings made by companies to ensure compliance with Commission rules and procedures. The department participates in all formal and informal rate filings made by regulated companies by reviewing existing and proposed rate design proposals and determining the appropriateness and need for plant additions. The department provides responses to customer inquiries and complaints concerning rate matters and quality of service issues and performs periodic inspections of company facilities and operations to ensure that companies are in compliance with Commission rules and are operating adequately. The department also participates in the review of finance cases filed before the Commission to ensure the appropriateness of the projects being financed and participates in the review of certificate applications before the Commission. Additional Salary Information: Starting salary will be commensurate with education and experience. Annual salary range: $76,801 - $81,422 plus benefits. (The salary listed reflects the base pay rate. Verified prior state service, subject to applicable eligibility requirements, may increase total compensation.)
