Ultrasound Technologist Per Diem

| Working under the direction of the Ultrasound Manager/Supervisor and Ultrasound Clinical Director, the Ultrasound technologist is responsible for performing all technical procedures within Ultrasound as described in the DFCI Imaging Policy Manual. All Ultrasound technologist positions include the responsibility of the delivery of safe and effective imaging procedures, participation in departmental education programs, participation in organizational and departmental goals and priorities and active involvement in Quality Assurance/Quality Improvement (QA/QI) activities. Each Ultrasound technologist position requires a close working relationship with Imaging professional, nursing, and technical staff, as well as with providers, investigators, and their staff. The Ultrasound technologist will work to create and sustain a culture that fosters excellence, impact, and discovery of innovative and novel approaches towards the eradication of cancer and related diseases. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS: The position requires graduation from an accredited ultrasonography program, with two years of hospital-based experience preferred. Candidates must hold current registration as an ARDMS Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS), ARDMS Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT), or ARRT Radiography and Sonography (RT-R/S) or Radiography and Vascular Sonography (RT-R/VS). Additional RDMS sub-specialty registrations in abdomen (RDMS-AB) and OB/GYN (RDMS-OB) are preferred. Current BLS certification is required or must be obtained within 90 days of hire. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None PATIENT CONTACT: Direct patient contact. For union positions, the pay range is determined by the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA). $109,096.00 - $129,594.40
