| Reporting to the Nursing Director, the Unit Director of the Intensive Care Unit for UCSF Community Hospitals. The director ensures safe, high quality, equitable critical care; manages capacity, acuity based staffing, and inter-unit transfers; and maintains continuous readiness for CMS and TJC standards. Core accountabilities include operational planning and direction, financial performance, performance improvement, human resources (hiring, onboarding, scheduling, competency), evaluation of care, patient and family experience and service recovery, and partnership with ancillary departments to remove barriers. The director also maintains CCU readiness (policies, equipment, staffing contingency, and activation plans) to support surge or future service reactivation. The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy. Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement. The salary range for this position is $262,044 - $278,059 (Annual Rate).
