| | ¿ Ensures operational excellence in technical services including capital and human resources, continuous improvement, goal development and attainment, defining and communicating expectations, providing value added services, and ensuring alignment between business unit and corporate strategy. ¿ Supports DR program development by providing expert advice on programs that are financially helpful to EKPC and the owner-members. ¿ Ensures monetization of DR programs in PJM. ¿ Works with owner-member staff, including CEOs, and their largest industrial customer, both new and existing, to develop Industrial Power Agreements including complex agreements containing applicable rate tariffs including base rates, interruptible services, economic development rider, etc. ¿ Develops business plans including economic, cost, feasibility studies, market studies preparing and offering new business offerings, services or DR and distributed energy resources (DER) programs. ¿ Manages and develops EKPC and member system DR and DER tariffs and shepherds the approval of those tariffs from member system CEOs to the EKPC Board of Directors and to the Kentucky Public Service Commission. ¿ Supports EKPC¿s economic development team to analyze rates for new contracts or special contracts associated with industrial development and expansion within the owner-members¿ service territories. ¿ Coordinates with Regulatory to provide rate proposal support to Economic Development personnel and EKPC members in the recruitment process of new loads. ¿ Oversees the demand response management system (DRMS) programs and all integrations for the DR programs and potential DER programs. ¿ Supports the development of C&I energy efficiency programs. ¿ Develops, promotes and manages the implementation of additional services provided by Envision Energy Services, LLC. ¿ Provides technical and engineering assistance to member systems and their major commercial and industrial customers related to energy efficiency, power quality, power supply, power factor and the promotion of electro-technologies. ¿ Manages the investigation of power quality issues at C&I key account members, performs engineering analysis to identify power quality causes, and recommends solutions. ¿ Performs analysis and measurement with energy management tools. ¿ Assists with the coordination of response to power quality and reliability requests. ¿ Provides energy efficiency investigations, engineering analysis, and develops solutions for C&I members. ¿ Serves as the EKPC C&I technical expect for demand-side management (DSM) program development and implementation. ¿ Manages C&I DSM program contractors/implementers. ¿ Assists EKPC and owner-members with C&I DSM program PSC tariffs. ¿ Advises and promotes EKPC/KY Touchstone Energy C&I DSM programs. ¿ Performs energy audits on commercial & industrial retail members and reviews audits performed by the staff. ¿ Recommends end-use technologies and materials related to energy and use of energy. ¿ Helps develop new tools for use in energy management. ¿ Interacts with C&I members on behalf of the owner-member as an extension of their technical staff. ¿ Maintains and builds relationships as technical liaison and point of contact for technical, engineering, and marketing assistance for member systems and their retail customers. ¿ Manages daily activities of staff responsible for implementing the DR programs and the C&I energy efficiency programs. ¿ Plans and coordinates work within group and ensures sufficient resources, training, and development necessary to perform work assigned to workgroup. ¿ Oversees, guides, motivates, and directs the activities of the group on a regular basis, including conducting performance reviews of the team. ¿ Maintains immediate authority and accountability for the group and provides leadership to ensure team goals are accomplished to achieve high performance business results. ¿ Assists with solar studies and industrial contracts. ¿ Performs other duties as assigned. |
