Accountability: Reports to the Head of Lower School Position Description: The Denver Academy T1 Teacher is responsible for executing Denver Academy’s mission of inspiring and empowering diverse learners through student-centered, differentiated, and transformative education. This position requires participation in an introduction and orientation summer program, including weekly meetings with the Program Team as part of a mentorship program. The T1 Teacher will participate in observation and co-teaching opportunities, attend regular professional development workshops and seminars, reflect on teaching practice, and collaborate within professional communities. A successful candidate will be comfortable working with individuals or small groups for student support and able to lead whole-class instruction, including providing coverage for absent teachers across a variety of disciplines. Additionally, the T1 Teacher will support classroom teachers with tasks such as grading, assistive technology support, monitoring student progress, and assisting with classroom management, transitions, and supervision to ensure a safe and supportive learning environment for all students.
