| The NYU School of Law’s Center for Labor and Employment Law (the Labor Center) and Institute of Judicial Administration (IJA) are seeking a single Deputy Director. The role is to serve as a program and operations manager for the centers, with training and growth towards launching new initiatives and engaging in development. This is an opportunity to work in the vibrant NYU Law School community. About Our Centers. The Labor Center was created in 1996 as a nonpartisan forum for discussion of policy and legal issues involving the employment relationship. IJA, founded in 1952, is a leader in judicial education and offers a forum for nonpartisan thinking about the administration of justice. Samuel Estreicher, Dwight D. Opperman Professor of Law is the Faculty Director of both centers. Both centers have active advisory boards comprised of leading jurists, practitioners, and scholars. Both are highly-regarded organizations supporting research, liaising with courts, attorneys, and decision-makers, and fostering nonpartisan dialogue on issues of public policy You would be part of a small and flexible team, working with the Faculty Director and Executive Director on all aspects of center operations, initiatives, and development. The Deputy Director will also oversee and receive help from undergraduate interns. Responsibilities may include: Qualifications & Requirements: This position is full-time with expectation to be in the office four days a week. Additional work from home is at the discretion of the Executive Director and Faculty Director. You will be an employee of New York University with a benefits package commensurate of a Professional Research Scholar. Starts: Immediate opening. Mutually agreeable start date. Benefits and terms of employment In compliance with NYC’s Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is $78,000-$93,000 plus benefits. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) a law degree, scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, as well as market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. In this position, HR designated as a Professional Research Scholar, you would be an employee of New York University and may avail yourself of a generous array of benefits, which include medical, dental and vision, as well as tuition remission towards select courses within the comprehensive NYU offerings.
