Learn more about the UC Office of the President DEPARTMENT OVERVIEW The Digital and Creative Strategy department helps build public understanding and support for the University of California and its mission through innovative and engaging digital, print, and other physical products. POSITION SUMMARY The Director of Digital Strategy is a strategic leader charged with guiding the vision and development of UC systemwide digital products. This role leads the Digital Product team, overseeing UX, content strategy, and development for systemwide websites, applications, and tools. The Director is responsible for the end-to-end development of digital products, ensuring they align with the university's mission and departmental priorities. Reporting to the Senior Director of Digital and Creative Strategy, this role also serves as a key advisor to leadership and internal and external partners, ensuring products remains engaging, usable, accessible, and on-brand. SALARY AND BENEFITS Job Title Communications Manager 1 Job Code 000408 Salary Grade Grade 25 Payscale: $150,000 - $170,000, commensurate with experience The University of California, Office of the President, is required to provide a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be offered a salary at or near the top of the range for a position. Salary offers are determined based on final candidate qualifications and experience. The full salary range shows the growth potential for this position and the pay scale is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position.
