| HR Payroll Specialist POSITION DETAILS Reporting directly to the HR Payroll Manager, the HR Specialist will assist with payroll operations and administration of all policies, for state and city employees. Along with the CUNY Title Overview, the HR Specialist will perform the following duties: ? Investigates and resolves employee payroll discrepancies and issues as they arise, in a timely fashion ? Assists with the management, processing, and reporting of all city payroll employees under the Hunter College Campus Schools and other locations in the Payroll Management System (PMS) ? Performs reporting and analysis for city and state payroll employees for upper management as it relates to certification and auditing purposes ? Review processes and procedures to ensure compliance with union contracts, policies, and collective bargaining agreements and make recommendations for efficiency as needed. ? Advise all hourly employees on payroll issues, communicating with employees on all updates and/or procedural changes ? Develops and conducts training sessions for internal teams, departments and administrators on city and state payroll processes, ensuring that all procedures are written, circulated, and properly adhered to. ? Collaborates with the HR benefits, and HR processing teams on city and state employee status, in an effort to ensure proper and accurate exemptions and deductions for City and State employee are processed within both city and state payroll systems ? Supervises payroll staff, which includes but is not limited to scheduling, and daily operation management ? Liaises with internal and external stakeholders such as unions, administrators, chairs, central payroll etc. on payroll policies and other inquires that may arise QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's Degree and four years' related experience required.
