We are looking for a dedicated Specialty Clinical Pharmacist to join the team at the Phoenix Children’s Specialty Pharmacy. This position involves clinical patient management duties and may also involve prescription order fulfillment. A willingness to support change is a must as we are a fast growing department. Current schedule is 8am-4:30pm Monday-Friday, but this is subject to change based on evolving business needs. Previous Specialty Pharmacy clinical experience is preferred.
This position oversees the daily activities of the specialty medication management processes in the Phoenix Children’s Specialty Pharmacy and provides comprehensive pharmacy services to patients from neonate to adulthood while performing the duties of a registered pharmacist as defined by the Arizona State Board of Pharmacy and Phoenix Children’s. Clinical Pharmacists ensure compliance with Federal, State, and local laws and regulations. This position reports directly to the Specialty Pharmacy Supervisor for daily staffing, operations duties, and annual evaluation. The position reports directly to the Specialty Pharmacy Supervisor and is professionally accountable to the Director of Outpatient Pharmacy Services.
Education
Bachelor’s Degree (BS) or Doctorate Degree (Pharm.D) in Pharmacy. (Required)
Experience
One (1) year experience in an outpatient, specialty, or hospital pharmacy practice or equivalent. (Preferred)
Experience with information systems and automated and technical equipment. (Required)
One (1) year previous pediatric patient population experience or equivalent. (Preferred)
Certifications
Current licensure as a pharmacist or eligible, either by reciprocity or examination by the Arizona State Board of Pharmacy. If contracted services individual, eligible to practice under an Arizona Board of Pharmacy Limited Services Pharmacy Permit. (Required)
