![]() AY26 - Diesel and Related Technology Instructor LOS ANGELES TRADE TECHNICAL COLLEGE Position Announcement Diesel and/or Rail Instructor Full-Time Tenure-Track Application Deadline: May 23, 2026 Position Start Date: Fall 2026 Los Angeles Trade Technical College (LATTC) is a two-year community college located in Los Angeles. Each semester, the college serves more than 15,000 students from diverse socio-economic backgrounds. LATTC has a 91-year tradition of being a leader in academic and technical curriculum designed to prepare students for the workforce and transfer. The College's emphasis on student success makes it a national educational leader with a reputation for contextualized and accelerated learning. Position Description LATTC is seeking a dynamic and innovative faculty member to teach the Heavy Truck & Bus and/or Rail vehicle repair courses and actively support student success. Minimum Qualifications:
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS: A medical certificate indicating fitness to engage in administrative work is required for new employees at the applicant's expense prior to employment. ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENT: COVID 19 VACCINATION Pursuant to LACCD Board of Trustee's Policy 2900, all students and employees must be fully vaccinated or have an approved exemption. LACCD employees are required to provide their vaccination status in compliance with the LACCD Board of Trustees' policy. Newly hired employees will be required to provide their vaccination status prior to starting a position or, at the latest, by their position start date Desirable Qualifications: o Diesel engines, o Heavy duty drivetrain, o Air brake systems, o Electrical, diesel fuel systems, and o Electronic controls. Duties and Responsibilities: This position requires a commitment to the college of over 30 hours per week including over 21 hours of teaching. Evening and/or week-end classes may be scheduled based on the department's needs. Duties of this position include, but are not limited to, the following: Salary and Benefits Current starting range is from $76,960 to $143,000 for the 10-month academic year. The doctoral differential is $4,870 per academic year.. An excellent benefit package which includes medical, vision, dental, and life insurance is available for the employee and eligible dependents.
