| Description The Semel Institute is seeking a Senior Fund Manager to oversee comprehensive post‑award administration for a diverse portfolio of intra‑ and extramurally funded research projects. Working under the direction of the Department Chair, CAO, Director of Research Administration, and other departmental leaders, you will serve as the primary financial steward for assigned Principal Investigators. Core responsibilities include running monthly financial reports, reconciling payroll and non‑payroll expenditures, preparing and submitting prior‑approval requests, managing financial closeouts, and ensuring compliance with university and sponsor policies. In this role, you will act as a key liaison between Extramural Fund Management (EFM), investigators, and departmental administrators, providing clear guidance and proactive financial oversight. You will initiate and monitor transactions in the General Ledger and UCPath, maintain accurate and timely financial records, and meet regularly with PIs to review account status and projections. This position is ideal for a detail‑oriented, collaborative professional with strong analytical skills and experience managing complex research funding portfolios.
