![]() Athletics, Staff Assistant for Business, Operations, and Compliance Campus Title: Athletics Staff Assistant for Business, Operations, and Compliance Department: Athletics FLSA Status: Non-Exempt (Stipend $30,000.00 yearly) Funding: NCAA Division III Pathways to Excellence Grant Job Type: Full-time-Temporary (2 years grant funded) Timeframe: 10 months of the calendar year Shift: Monday-Friday 9am-5pm (nights and weekend when necessary flexible schedule) Regular Days Off: Saturday and Sunday Anticipated Start Date: August 2, 2026 Position Date Commitments: August 2, 2026-May 29, 2027 & August 1, 2027-May 27, 2028 Salary: $30,000 + Professional Development Funds and on campus Graduate Housing & Meal plan (housing and meal plan subject to benefits tax) Westfield State University, Department of Athletics is committed to creating an educated, inclusive and welcome environment for student-athletes, faculty and staff. General Statement of Duties: The successful grant recipient will be a visible hands-on leader demonstrating attention to detail, organizational excellence, and follow-through. The Staff Assistant for Business, Operations, and Compliance is vital in continuing to grow in our ability to meet the needs of today's student athletes and coaches. The position provides comprehensive athletic compliance support to coaches, staff, and student-athletes while gaining experience throughout all facets of NCAA Division III compliance. The person hired, will report to Nancy Bals, Senior Associate Athletics Director/Senior Woman Administrator and in addition will work with Assistant Athletic Director/Head Women's Basketball Coach Andrea Bertini and Richard Lenfest, Director of Athletics. Special Instructions to Applicants The purpose of the NCAA grant is to increase opportunities for underrepresented groups in intercollegiate athletics, including but not limited to, veterans and first-generation students. This is a grant funded 10-month per year position spanning two academic years: 2026-27 and 2027-28. It is expected that the hired person will attend an orientation in Indianapolis, Indiana August 2-4, 2026. Review of Applications will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled.
