![]() AY26 - Culinary Arts Instructor Los Angeles Trade Technical College Position Announcement CULINARY ARTS INSTRUCTOR Probationary Full-Time Tenure-Track (10-month) Application Deadline: May 26, 2026 Position Start Date: Fall 2026 Los Angeles Trade Technical College (LATTC) is a two-year community college located in Los Angeles which has a college enrollment of approximately 14,000 per semester. LATTC has a tradition of being a leader in academic and technical curriculum designed to prepare students for the workforce and transfer. The College's emphasis on student success makes it a national educational leader with a reputation for contextualized and accelerated learning. Position Description: LATTC is looking for a highly motivated and dynamic instructor to teach Culinary Arts starting Fall 2026. Minimum Qualifications: Desirable Qualifications:
Duties and Responsibilities: This position requires a commitment to the college of over 30 hours per week including over 21 hours of teaching. Evening and/or weekend classes may be scheduled based on the department's need. Duties of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
Salary and Benefits: Salary ranges from $76,960 to $143,000 for the 10-month academic year. The selected candidate will be allocated within the salary range upon evaluation by the Los Angeles Community Colleges District (LACCD) academic recruitment unit. An excellent benefit package which includes medical, vision, dental, and life insurance is available for the employee and eligible dependents. A detailed letter of interest addressing how they meet the minimum and preferred qualifications and their experience and preparation related to the duties and responsibilities in the position description. 3. A list of a minimum of three professional references including names, titles, addresses, phone numbers, and e-mail addresses of individuals that will attest to the position qualifications. 4. Unofficial transcripts for all undergraduate and graduate coursework with degrees posted (official transcripts will be required if selected for an interview). Documents from an approved foreign transcript evaluator are required for degrees received from other countries. You can obtain a listing of approved foreign evaluation agencies at the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing: California Commission on Teaching Credentialing. (Upload as an 'Other Document'). 5. Evidence of professional experience directly related to Culinary Arts. This is accomplished through Verification of Experience (VOE) letters. These letters may be uploaded in this application as 'Other Documents'. This includes a signed dated letter on employer letterhead stationery that denotes these details for each employer: Inclusive dates of assignments of paid work (not volunteer); if this is adjunct work, please include the semester date, and course number, title; Status of employment: state whether full-time or part-time (number of hours/week);Scope: Descriptive details of job duties.
