RN Day Surgery Seasonal

Shift:  FT Seasonal 13 week contract starting in May- Days 5/8 hr. shifts per week M-F 7-3:30

Requirement: Min. of 2yrs of RN experience. Prior Day Surgery/Pre-Op, PACU or Procedural experience required 

Day Surgery Unit 

Our Day Surgery unit is a fast-paced environment that includes high acuity?patients. Are you looking to increase your knowledge base? Our leadership team fosters an environment that supports?learning, mentoring, and building every team member.? 

Patient Population:?General Surgery, Orthopedics, Neuro, Gynecology, ENT, Oncology, Pain management, Interventional Radiology, and Gastroenterology patients. PreOp and Phase II 

Patient Ratios: PreOp 1:1; Phase II: Ranges from 1:2 - 1:3-5; per ASPAN (American Society of PeriAnesthesia Nurses guidelines. 

Number of Beds: 18

Department Specifics: Team nursing approach to pre-operative patients, ability to cross train in PACU and GI lab, and collaborative team.

QUALIFICATIONS

- EDUCATION - Grad of an Accredited Program 

- MAJOR - Nursing

Min. of 2yrs of RN experience. Prior Day Surgery/Pre-Op, PACU or Procedural experience required 

- CERTIFICATION/LICENSE/REGISTRATION - 
       Registered Nurse (RN)

       Basic Life Support (BLS): BLS or BLS within 30 days of hire or transfer.
