Scheduled Hours40Position SummaryTreasury Services (âœTreasuryâ or the âœGroupâ) is comprised of three main functional areas: Treasury Planning & Operations, Insurance & Risk Management, and Student & Parent Loan Programs. The Group manages the Universityâ™s banking, financial, and merchant services, which includes commercial/investment banking/financial vendor products, relationships, and accounts. Treasury manages the Universityâ™s operating assets known as the Treasurerâ™s Investment Pool (âœTIPâ), as well as the strategy, operation, and performance of the Universityâ™s external long-term debt portfolio and the Internal Bank. The management of TIP includes assessing liquidity levels and working capital through forecasting, recommending appropriate asset allocations, and evaluation of investment options. The Group monitors and projects the Universityâ™s cash flow, as well as manages all operating lines of credit and a taxable commercial paper program. Debt management includes market analysis, modeling, issuance, compliance, credit strategy, and management of the Internal Bank. Treasury maintains a collaborative and productive relationship with the WashU Investment Management Company (âœWashU IMCâ) and ensures that the Universityâ™s strategic and tactical liquidity and funding needs are met. Treasury collaborates with finance and campus stakeholders on capital planning and provides oversight of the financial aspects and reporting of the Universityâ™s consolidated capital plan. Treasury provides regular updates throughout the year to the WashU IMC Board and other standing committees of the Board of Trustees.The Senior Treasury Analyst reports directly to the Director, Treasury Planning & Operations (the âœDirectorâ), and is responsible for producing analytics and reporting to support financial decision-making and strategy for Treasury matters. The Senior Treasury Analyst serves as an integral member of the Directorâ™s team and works with colleagues throughout Treasury Planning & Operations, as well as various finance and accounting colleagues and campus stakeholders to provide timely and accurate analytics and reporting. The Senior Treasury Analyst will develop and maintain an in-depth understanding of WashUâ™s Internal Bank, the Treasurerâ™s Investment Pool (TIP) and their components, credit and balance sheet strategies, and capital and resource planning. Therefore, the Senior Treasury Analyst will need to develop a comprehensive understanding of WashUâ™s institutional goals and support how they relate to the administration and operation of areas within Treasury and vice versa. In addition, the Senior Treasury Analyst will partner and collaborate with the Senior Financial Projects Analyst and the Senior Treasury Analyst â“ Debt Management to provide reporting of the Universityâ™s consolidated capital plan. The Senior Treasury Analyst will have expert-level proficiency in developing and utilizing proprietary models and tools. The Senior Treasury Analyst will be adept at utilizing the Universityâ™s enterprise financial system (Workday) and other sources of data.
