G.I. Hospitalist

Saint Joseph Hospital in Lexington, KY is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible G.I. Hospitalist physician who practices ERCP to join our team. Position Highlights:

• 7-on 7-off schedule
• Join another established G.I. Hospitalist and a team of 4 outpatient G.I. physicians
• EUS support from advanced G.I. physician in the group
• Two APPs support the G.I. Hospitalists with consults and rounding
• Average volume of 5-10 new consults and 15-25 census
• ERCP required, EUS NOT required

Education:

• Successful completion of an accredited Internal Medicine Residency Program in U.S. or Canada
• Successful completion of an accredited Gastroenterology Fellowship Program in U.S. or Canada
• Must perform ERCP (EUS preferred, but not required)

License/Certification:

• Kentucky License/Eligible
• DEA
• Board certification or active participation in the examination process

Essential Duties:

• Understand, support, and implement the mission of the facility to deliver health care to those in need in the performance of all job responsibilities
• Ensure that patient care meets or exceeds the facility quality standards
• Ensure that patient satisfaction meets or exceeds standards set by the facility
• Educate patients on both clinical and managed care
• Participate in clinic and network task forces as requested and appropriate
• Function as an effective clinic team member
• Meet productivity standards
• Effectively use clinic financial and other performance information
