Position Summary Under general supervision, the Access Services Associate performs duties necessary to the day-to-day functioning of the Access Services department, which includes the Service Desk, assisting patrons, maintaining records, etc. The Access Service Associate will be in charge of library late-night operations during the hours of 10:00 pm through 2:00 am Ideal candidates should have excellent customer service skills, be able to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, and be comfortable working with a diverse patron base. Workplace Requirements Summer hours are from 12:30 pm to 9:00 pm Tuesday through Saturday, and regular semester hours are 5:30 pm to 2:00 am Sunday evening through early Thursday morning. This position is exclusively on-site, necessitating all duties to be performed in-person at Fondren Library. Per Rice policy 440, work arrangements may be subject to change. Hiring Range This is a full-time, benefits-eligible position with an hourly rate of $18.00. Non-Exempt (hourly) positions under FLSA are eligible for overtime. Minimum Requirements
