| The Department of Psychology within the College of Arts and Sciences seeks a Financial Operations Senior Coordinator to join our team. The Financial Operations Senior Coordinator serves as one of the primary points of contact for faculty, staff, and students on university, travel, expenditure, college, and department policies and procedures. The role advises on appropriate procurement and travel methods and helps manage travel and meeting arrangements for department faculty, researchers, students, and visitors. The position initiates and tracks spend authorization requests, expense reports, and expenditures in compliance with university policy and purchasing guidelines. The coordinator anticipates, recognizes, and resolves unusual and complex issues with travel and procurement transactions, including interaction with suppliers and/or central offices. The role also provides procurement, fiscal, travel, and fund balance reports for faculty. Responsibilities include implementing payroll accounting adjustment controls in coordination with the grant manager and administrative staff, as well as initiating payroll accounting adjustments as needed. The coordinator maintains and updates all department fiscal policy and procedure documents, tracks fiscal year activity, and maintains related tracking mechanisms. Additional duties include assisting with faculty and graduate student recruitment, event planning and coordination, and other special projects as needed. The role involves tracking and logging procurement card (p-card) transactions in conjunction with the duties of the p-card manager and serving as a backup for entering journals to perform FDM reallocations and/or corrections. The coordinator provides backup support to other department administrative staff and works productively as a team member to support academic, research, program, and center activities, as well as overall department business functions. The role requires the ability to convey sensitive information to faculty, staff, and students and may include supervising and mentoring undergraduate student assistants as needed. The pay range for this job profile is $19.28 - $25.19. The offer for this position will fall within this range based on internal equity, the unit's available budget, and the candidate's qualifications.
