Stanford Introductory Studies (SIS) is a unit in the Office of the Vice Provost for Undergraduate Education that manages required and elective academic programs for first- and second-year students: COLLEGE, Introductory Seminars, Education as Self-Fashioning, ITALIC, SLE, Sophomore College, and Arts Intensive.
VPUE is seeking a Residential Programs Coordinator (RPC) to provide operational and administrative support to our residentially-based first-year academic programs: ITALIC and Structured Liberal Education (SLE). The RPC manages a multitude of diverse and complex projects, tracks action items, deadlines, and deliverables, and collaborates with relevant parties on behalf of the residential programs to ensure all programmatic responsibilities and financial obligations are met for the programs they support. The RPC works behind the scenes to independently and proactively identify solutions to programs and to meet the needs of the programs. The RPC will work with the associate directors of each program to facilitate curricular and co-curricular programming, including planning field trips, ordering books, arranging speakers, organizing events and travel, and coordinating arts workshops in classrooms and residences. The RPC will work with campus partners in Residential Education and Dining to assist in issues related to residential space needs and student housing for the programs. The RPC will also process financial transactions associated with these programs. A successful candidate will have a strong background and proven track record in juggling completing demands and priorities with the highest degree of professionalism, accuracy, and attention to detail. The RPC must possess excellent project management, financial/accounting, and communication skills, exercise sound judgement in a variety of different situations, and handle confidential/private information with discretion. This position reports directly to the Financial Analyst and will work in close collaboration with Associate Directors for ITALIC and SLE.
