| Full Time Coordinator of Student Leadership, Activities and Events
The Blinn College District is searching for a Full Time Coordinator of Student Leadership, Activities and Events at our RELLIS Campus.

Job Summary
To coordinate and implement student related activities and functions to enhance the growth and development of all students by providing social and educational opportunities for all students to engage with the campus and the community. This role will also be an active part of internal and external event reservations and implementation.
Principal Accountabilities - Provide oversight for student organization/club programs district wide. Coordinate all student related activities and functions. Partner with Academic Alliance for programming activities. Research, recommend, develop and implement programs and activities in conjunction with other student life employees. Monitor all club account budgets, travel request, sponsor stipend disbursements, and resource requests. Coordinate club/organization bi-annual training workshops.
- Responsible for coordinating use of district wide banquet and conference room facilities with Blinn College personnel, students and the community, ensuring their event is booked on the calendar with designated software and that all requested logistics for the event are fulfilled efficiently and in a timely manner.
- Tracks all programming budgets and the goal/assessment results related to student activities, student orientation, locations district wide. Ensures goals and assessment results are tracked appropriately. Collaborate with the Director to develop new strategic directions for the department based on assessment results.
- Responsible for maintaining an inventory of all SLA owned items, including ensuring that linens are cleaned, sorted, and stored efficiently.
- Assist with set up, take down, and administration of events as necessary.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications/ Required Degree, License or Certifications 1. Bachelor's degree 2. 2+ years of student affairs experience 3. Co-Curricular higher education experience.
Minimum Competencies 1. Willingness to work evenings and weekends. 2. Ability to organize effectively and to work with limited direct supervision. 3. Ability to work with diverse groups. 4. Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. 5. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with instructors, staff, administration, students, the general public, the business and professional communities. 6. Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to: the community college mission and purpose; teaching and learning; high academic standards; and, student success 7. Knowledge and experience using integrated software systems and Microsoft applications (with proficiency in MS Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint presentation and Publisher. 8. Must have the ability to direct, supervise, coordinate and evaluate student activities programs on the collegiate level. 9. Proven leadership and organizational skills. 10. Must possess strong interpersonal verbal and written communication skills. 11. Position requires flexible work hours. 12. General knowledge of college operations including instructional programs, student services and fiscal management. Preferred Qualifications 1. Master's degree 2. 1+ years of educational work experience, either administrative or instructional 3. Community College teaching/ program administration experience 4. Prior work experience involving student affairs, student activities, and student development. 5. Prior work experience at a college or university. 6. Past work experience involving facility management. 7. Past supervisory experience.
Preferred Competencies
Special Notes To Applicants Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm with some nights/weekends 40 hours on campus position. This is a 12 month, benefits-eligible position. Yearly leave time includes:
