Overview Reporting to the Manager of Operational and Performance Excellence, the Technical Project Manager oversees all aspects of complex technical initiatives to ensure they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. This role plays a central part in Yale Health’s efforts to modernize its infrastructure and application landscape, strengthen data connectivity across systems, and advance both clinical and administrative excellence. The position offers the opportunity to lead meaningful projects that directly support Yale Health’s mission and long-term strategic priorities. The Technical Project Manager provides end-to-end project leadership for enterprise technology initiatives, including analytics modernization, system integrations, and enhancements to clinical and operational platforms and custom applications. The role requires a strong foundation in project management paired with a solid understanding of technical environments, enabling seamless collaboration with software engineers, analysts, vendors, and clinical and administrative stakeholders. The ideal candidate brings demonstrated experience guiding cross-functional technical projects involving systems, data, integrations, or infrastructure. They communicate technical concepts clearly, provide transparent reporting to leadership, and navigate ambiguity with confidence. Success in this role depends on the ability to influence without direct authority, build strong relationships across diverse teams, and balance analytical rigor with emotional intelligence to drive impactful results. Schedule: Full-time, 37.5 hours, generally Monday - Friday, 8:30 am - 5:00 pm. Occasional early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays/recess may also be required.

Manages special projects ranging from academic to financial from inception to completion, which requires quantitative analysis, independent research, and the proposal of resolutions or conclusions. Creates and envisions programmatic initiatives and communication strategies. 2. Designs and develops communications strategies for special projects. Develops and exercises a keen understanding of the multiple audiences and contributing University offices involved in a given project to ensure that individual communications are rolled out within a structure planned in advance and with appropriate communication among key stakeholders. 3. Envisions, creates and authors a wide variety of sensitive and high-level written materials. Serves as coordinator and executor for a range of internal and external committees. May participate in decisions regarding committee work. Advises panelists on precedents and prior actions. 4. Serves as Secretary for committee(s), manages informal and formal resolution processes and voluminous correspondence. 5. May supervise the work of project coordinator and administrative staff. 6. Serves as liaison to other departments on all communications. 7. Contributes to design, organization, and maintenance of department website. 8. May perform other duties as assigned.
