| Job Description The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) is seeking a USER ACCESS STACKS ASSOCIATE to support the role and function of the HUB Service Desks at either Sterne or Lister Hill Libraries. To assist in efficiently and effectively providing services to all library users, in person and virtually during library operating hours. User Access Associates will aid in management of the library's public spaces and library collection, with a specific focus on the display and distribution of physical collections, the compiling and analysis of data about current density levels, the development of growth projections, and the execution of projects to shift or relocate collections. RESPONSIBILITIES:
(Hourly Rate: $15.00 - $24.40) Bachelor's degree in a related field required; two (2) years of related experience preferred. Work experience may substitute for education requirement. Exhibit proficiency in Microsoft office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook). Adept with technology, both common and specialized. A minimum of two (2) years' experience in a customer service role and a knowledge of library services, operations, and of library collections. Prior demonstrated experience with physical inventory processes (retrieval, shelving, shifting, stocking displays/shelves) in a process-driven work environment preferred.
