| Lead Business Analyst US-NY-New York Job ID: 2026-15541 Type: NYU IT (WS1170) # of Openings: 1 Category: Technology New York University Overview Serve as a key strategic partner to the Director, GSMUS leads, and business leadership to help guide the Enterprise Architecture teams operating model, ensuring all efforts deliver on the teams core purpose, using a unified view of systems and data to translate business needs into strategic, scalable architectural and product roadmaps. Champion a scalable, integrated, and transparent technology foundation for the University by connecting stakeholders, systems, data, and decisions to deliver clarity, accountability, and alignment with institutional priorities. Develop annual and quarterly EA Roadmaps that align technology capabilities with institutional priorities. Establish KPIs and performance dashboards to measure architecture adoption and time-to-delivery improvements, Create detailed project plans that integrate EA deliverables into institutional initiatives with measurable mission-aligned outcomes. Lead the Architecture Review Board (ARB) and Technical Standards Review Board (TSRB) to provide governance, evaluate proposals, and ensure adherence to technical standards that advance the Universitys mission. Responsibilities Required Education: Bachelor's Degree Preferred Education: Bachelor's Degree in STEM, Business or Liberal Arts. PMP, PgMP, ITIL foundation, or other relevant program management certifications. Required Experience: 5+ years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must include related experience in project management, change management, business analysis, and strategic planning, with demonstrated success in seeing projects through to completion. Preferred Experience: 5+ years of related experience with demonstrated success in leading change initiativesâ”from initial ideation and stakeholder alignment to execution and post-implementation supportâ”within a large, complex, multi-stakeholder organization, preferably in an institute of higher education, and in a dynamic environment. Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Knowledge of enterprise architecture principles, frameworks and their application in a complex, multi-faceted organization. Expertise in systems thinking, with the ability to understand and manage the complex interdependencies between business, data, and technology across the enterprise. Strong technical acumen, with a deep understanding of modern IT systems and applications, including SaaS (Software as a Service) platforms, single sign-on (SSO) technologies, and ITSM (IT Service Management) principles. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on data-driven decision-making and the ability to define and measure success using metrics and KPIs. Superior communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills to build trust and influence stakeholders at all levels, from technical teams to executive leadership. Proven ability to understand user needs, conduct market research, and translate business requirements into technical specifications, user stories, and product roadmaps. Exceptional program management skills, with an understanding of methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid, Scrum) and governance best practices. Experience with project and service management platforms, techniques and methodologies (e.g., ServiceNow, Asana, JIRA, monday.com) and a proven ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of IT governance, risk management, and compliance frameworks. Knowledge of Higher education landscapes and distributed environments. Good financial acumen, including experience managing program budgets, forecasting, and a clear understanding of ROI. Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical and business concepts to diverse audiences, including executive leadership. Proven ability to influence, collaborate, and build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organization and with external partners. Demonstrated strategic thinker with the ability to translate business objectives into actionable program plans. Demonstrated proactive and resourceful mindset, with the ability to identify and remove operational obstacles. Qualifications In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $130,000.00 to USD $150,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
