![]() AY26 - Computer Applications and Office Technologies (CAOT), Instructor POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT AY26 - COMPUTER APPLICATIONS AND OFFICE TECHNOLOGIES (CAOT)) INSTRUCTOR FULL-TIME. TENURE TRACK CLOSING DATE: June 10, 2026 Located on more than 400 acres in the West San Fernando Valley, Los Angeles Pierce College (LAPC) combines state-of-the-art technology and learning with the picturesque beauty of its rolling hills. Founded in 1947, LAPC is a two-year public institution with more than 100 disciplines being taught to more than 17,000 students each semester and enjoys one of the highest transfer performances in Southern California. Seen as a leader statewide and nationally, LAPC is now seeking to expand its outstanding faculty by offering a Computer Applications and Office and Technology Instructor (CAOT) position starting with the Fall 2026 semester. DEPARTMENT The Los Angeles Pierce Computer Applications and Office Technologies Department is an innovative, progressive department with a commitment to educate students for positions in the business world and/or to transfer to four-year institutions. The department currently consists of three full-time faculty members, two instructional assistants, and fourteen adjunct faculty. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES In accordance with its mission as a community college, instruction at LAPC focuses on lower-division courses. Faculty members at LAPC are expected to facilitate student learning by designing varied and exciting learning environments. The regular teaching load is 15 hours. Courses may be scheduled evenings, weekends, and/or at off-site locations. Duties of this position may include, but are not limited to, the following:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
(The professional experience required must be directly related to the faculty member's teaching assignment. Professional experience is required when the applicant possesses a master's degree.) ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENT COVID 19 VACCINATION: Pursuant to LACCD Board of Trustee's Policy 2900, all students and employees must be fully vaccinated or have an approved exemption. LACCD employees are required to provide their vaccination status in compliance with the LACCD Board of Trustees' policy. Newly hired employees will be required to provide their vaccination status prior to starting a position or, at the latest, by their position start date. DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS
SALARY AND BENEFITS The starting salary ranges from $76,960 to $143,000 for the 10-month academic year, depending on experience and professional preparation. The PhD differential is $4,870 per academic year. An excellent benefit package that includes medical, vision, dental, and life insurance is available for the employee and eligible dependents.
