Discover your opportunities at Yale! Overview Yale School of Nursing (YSN) is seeking a Director of Financial Aid to join a dynamic and growing Office of Enrollment. YSN, located on the beautiful and sprawling grounds of Yale West Campus, is conveniently located near major highways. Welcome | Yale West Campus The Director of Financial Aid is an integral part of YSN’s Enrollment Management team, responsible for financial aid operations at the Yale School of Nursing. The Director is responsible for: administration of all financial aid programs, including evaluation, approval, and award of financial aid funds; maintaining compliance with federal Title IV and state regulations as well as institutional policies and procedures; and ensuring high-quality customer service. This person will serve as a strategic partner to the Associate Dean for Enrollment Management in ongoing improvement of financial aid processes and management of the financial aid budget. This position will require schedule flexibility for evening and weekend programming. Determine student eligibility for funds; perform need analyses and determine financial aid awards from federal, institutional, state and/or private sources. Perform financial aid verifications according to federal and institutional policies. Review student accounts and resolve award adjustment requests and loan and budget adjustment petitions. Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and institutional policies and regulations. Maintain accurate records documenting the distribution and allocation of financial aid funds. Develop, implement and maintain a proactive and student-centered customer service approach for the delivery of financial aid services, information and communications. Manage financial aid staff, including onboarding, training, workflow delegation, and workflow optimization for direct report(s) Manage and report on financial aid budget, including calculation of discount rates, forecasting and monitoring of expenditures. Develop reports and provide analysis on financial aid data, trends, and outcomes. Contribute to the planning and execution of events such as financial aid and financial literacy workshops. Maintain and update website and online portals with relevant and up-to-date information on financial aid policies, procedures, and resources. Collaborate with Associate Dean of Enrollment Management on quality assurance, ongoing process improvement, and development or revision of financial aid processes, policies and procedures. Ability to use the latest technology in financial aid and budget analysis. 5. Deep knowledge of financial aid process in the graduate and/or professional school setting. Ability to form relationships with prospective students and counsel applicants through the admissions process. Ability to communicate and interact with prospective students of diverse backgrounds. Preferred Education, Experience and Skills 1. Prior experience in financial aid processing, counseling, and/or management at the graduate school level. 2. Familiarity with CRM systems such as Slate. Principal Responsibilities 1. Plans and executes admission, financial aid, internship, and career services programs. Prepares and submits recommendations to admissions and financial aid committees. Plans and cultivates new corporate relationships to generate job opportunities both domestically and internationally. 2. Participates in long-range planning; recommends and contributes to the development of career services, financial aid, and admissions policies. 3. Provides guidance, advices and counseling on academic, admissions, financial , and career services matters to students and prospective students. Works with students, alumni and employers to identify existing and emerging employment opportunities. 4. Develops and analyzes statistical data to determine patterns and trends that impact and inform the direction of the admissions or financial aid. Conducts ongoing research on employment trends and evolving industry-specific recruiting and talent management needs. 5. Develops budgets and loan repayment schedules. 6. Develops systems for admissions and financial aid activities. Leads projects to continuously improve use of technology. 7. Writes publications to inform students of developments within financial aid and admissions offices. 8. Organizes and conducts corporate presentations, networking nights, and career fairs. Guide employers in developing and executing on-and off campus strategies for attracting University talent. 9. Supervises and trains a staff of exempt and non-exempt employees. 10.
