• 10 hour shifts 
• 630-1700
• Heart team 10-12 cases per week
• Call:
  • One late shift and one overnight per week
  • One weekend call shift (Friday-Sunday) every 6-7 weeks 
• Preference for CT or cath lab experience

Role Purpose

Performs an expanded perioperative role as a first assistant to cardiovascular surgeons during surgical procedures in the Cardiothoracic operating room (CTOR).  RNFA works alongside the cardiovascular surgeon to provide direct patient care.  Works as a professional colleague with the perioperative team and collaborates with the patient-designated support person, and other health care providers when making decisions to plan care.
