![]() Assistant Professor in International Relations Posting ID: 17078 Position Title: Assistant Professor in International Relations Category: Tenure-track Department: Government Department URL: https://www.cmc.edu/government Description: The Department of Government at Claremont McKenna College (CMC) invites applications for a tenure-track position, at the early assistant professor level, in International Relations with a focus on international security. The position will begin on July 1, 2027. The successful candidate is expected to hold a Ph.D. in political science by the time of the appointment. The successful applicant will teach courses in international politics, international security, and U.S. foreign policy. The teaching load is two courses per semester. The candidate must have demonstrated the ability to maintain an active, high-quality research program and the highest standards of excellence in teaching. Given the College's commitment to cultivating an inclusive educational environment, we seek candidates who can demonstrate a commitment to teaching, mentoring, and inspiring students representing a broad range of socioeconomic backgrounds, political opinions, genders, races, ethnicities, nationalities, sexual orientations, and religions.
