The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. Position Type Full-Time/Regular The Assistant Director, Warren Towers is a full-time live-in professional responsible for leading the day-to-day administration of a residential neighborhood, fostering a campus environment that supports academic achievement, student development, and community engagement. This position provides supervision, direction, and support to Community Directors as they enforce residential rules and regulations, respond to urgent and emergency situations, mediate conflicts, and manage student conduct within the residential community. As a visible leadership figure and role model, the Assistant Director collaborates closely with University partners, including Boston University Police Department (BUPD), the Office of Student Conduct and Conflict Resolution, Student Health Services, and academic units to ensure prompt and thorough responses to community issues. The Assistant Director chairs departmental committees, assumes responsibility for University-wide residential program assignments, and serves on the Residence Life administrator on-call rotation, requiring availability for evening, weekend, and campus-wide urgent matters. This role is accountable for the overall development and administration of a residential program that integrates learning opportunities through initiatives such as the residence hall council, specialty communities, and the Faculty-in-Residence program. The Assistant Director leads neighborhood staff and student development efforts by creating a cohesive team among professional staff, administrative personnel, faculty-in-residence, graduate resident assistants, resident assistants, and work-study staff. Additionally, the Assistant Director regularly represents the Residence Life department at University events including Parents Weekend, Admissions Open Houses, Commencement, and Orientation. This position is critical to maintaining a supportive, safe, and engaging residential experience for all students in the Warren Towers community. Essential Function 1: 30%
