| Pay Grade/Pay Range: Minimum: $44,200 - Midpoint: $55,300 (Salaried E6) Department/Organization: 820601 - UREC Administration Normal Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm; some evenings & weekends required Job Summary: The Membership Coordinator oversees a membership program. Coordinates member relations and provides customer/patron services to members. Develops annual goals and monthly income projections. Additional Department Summary: The Membership Coordinator oversees and supervises the daily operations of UREC Membership Services, including the main office at the Student Recreation Center and additional UREC facilities or other campus locations. Oversees all membership enrollments, policy administration, member relations, customer service and point of sale operations, class/program registrations, locker rentals, revenue accounting and reporting, and the hiring, training, and supervision of membership desk staff. Assists in facilitating updates for recreation management software as needed, under the supervision of the Director of UREC Services. Supports department outreach initiatives related to member communication and notifications for student, faculty, staff, alumni, and campus community members. Manages administrative tasks such as payroll, budgeting, accounting, and has personal accountability for financial reporting and responsibility for establishing, enforcing, and following internal processes and controls as outlined in University policies and procedures. Provides a respectful and safe environment for University Recreation participants by instilling the value of customer service standards with student staff through training and consistent management and supports department and University goals of outreach in student employment opportunities, member relations, program/service offerings, and special events. Required Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or higher and some customer service and/or sales experience. Additional Required Department Minimum Qualifications: Must have valid U.S. driver's license. Must be at least 19 years of age at time of hire and have an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report that is in compliance with University policies. Applicants under the age of 21 will have some driving restrictions. Skills and Knowledge: Effective customer relations and oral and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal and organizational skills. Ability to prioritize multiple work responsibilities in time-sensitive situations. Ability to work with limited supervision. Ability to supervise and delegate work to student staff. Ability to exercise good judgment. Ability to work effectively as an individual and as a member of a team. Knowledge of personal computers and standard software applications (word processing, spreadsheets, database management, etc.). Proficient in fiscal management, assessment, and evaluation. Proficient in recreation management systems (Fusion, Connect2Concepts, etc.). Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in consumer affairs, communication, public relations, marketing, recreation, education or related field. Experience with recreation management systems, such as Fusion and Connect2Concepts. Customer service, staff training, and facilities management experience.
