Hospital Controller – Amarillo, TXAn exciting opportunity is available for an experienced healthcare finance leader to join a growing hospital in the Amarillo market as Controller. This is a highly visible leadership role within a newer hospital environment where the Controller will play a key role in both financial operations and overall hospital leadership. This hospital opened in late 2025 and continues to grow steadily, currently operating with approximately 50 beds and an average daily census in the mid-20s. The leadership team is collaborative, supportive, and team-oriented, offering a strong balance between operational excellence and quality of life. Compensation & Highlights: Position Overview: This is not a behind-the-scenes accounting role. The Controller will be visible throughout the hospital, involved in operations, leadership initiatives, and even patient rounding alongside the executive team. Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain strong internal financial controls and compliance processes Prepare operational and financial reports for hospital and regional leadership Partner closely with department leaders to improve operational efficiency and financial performance Participate in hospital leadership activities and Administrator On-Call rotation as needed Supervise two direct reports:
Qualifications: CPA is a plus, but not required Minimum of five years of hospital accounting or healthcare finance experience preferred Prior leadership or management experience required, preferably overseeing small teams Strong understanding of healthcare financial operations, budgeting, forecasting, labor management, and financial analysis Experience building and maintaining strong internal control environments Candidates local to the Amarillo area are strongly preferred, though relocation assistance may be considered for the right individual This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on healthcare finance leader who enjoys being part of hospital operations, building strong relationships across departments, and contributing directly to the success and growth of a newer facility.

Additional Salary Information: Salary range: $115,000–$125,000 Bonus plan targeting 25% of base salary
