| Institutional Research Manager (Data Scientist) - Institutional Research Analysis Department POSITION DETAILS The CUNY School of Medicine (SoM), located in the heart of Harlem, New York, is the only medical school in the City University of New York system and the only public medical school in Manhattan. Building upon 50 years of success as the Sophie Davis School of Biomedical Education, the institution transitioned to the CUNY School of Medicine in 2016. The CUNY SoM offers an accelerated BS/MD degree (7-year program) and a Physician Assistant Master?s Degree (27-month program). The CUNY School of Medicine is seeking to recruit (1) Institutional Research Manager (Data Scientist) in the department of Institutional Effectiveness and Assessment. The Institutional Research Manager (Data Scientist) will report to the PSch Associate Dean of Institutional Effectiveness and Assessment. In addition to the CUNY Title Overview, the duties include but are not limited to the following responsibilities:
QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's Degree and six years' relevant experience required. Preferred Qualifications ? Seven or more years of experience in data science. ? Deep understanding of data visualization, data analysis and database management systems. ? Proficiency with data mining, mathematics, and statistical analysis. ? Advanced experience in pattern recognition and predictive modeling. ? Experience with Excel, PowerPoint, Tableau, SQL, and programming languages (ex: Java/Python, SAS). ? Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, research-oriented group that has several concurrent projects.
