Position Overview: This is a highly visible opportunity for an ambitious legal leader to step into a true strategic seat. The Assistant General Counsel will partner closely with the General Counsel and executive leadership team, serving as a key advisor across the enterprise.
Operating in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, this individual will take ownership of core legal functions—contracts, compliance, and litigation management—while also leading cross-functional initiatives that shape the business. The role offers a rare blend of breadth and impact, ideal for a “legal athlete” who thrives in ambiguity, moves quickly, and brings both practical judgment and commercial instinct.
With strong exposure to senior leadership and the opportunity to influence enterprise strategy, this role is designed as a meaningful step toward broader leadership responsibility.
Experience: LegalShield is seeking a high-caliber attorney who pairs technical excellence with the agility and presence to operate at a strategic level. The ideal candidate will bring at least 8 years of legal experience, including initial training at a top law firm and subsequent in-house experience.
They will have a strong grounding in contracts, compliance, and litigation management, along with the confidence to operate independently and the judgment to engage effectively with business stakeholders across the organization. This is a role for a standout performer—a “best athlete”—with the ability and ambition to grow into a broader leadership position over time.
Location: Remote with travel for ELT meetings.
Compensation: Base salary range of $225,000–$250,000, plus eligibility for annual bonus and long-term incentives.
