Professional Position Details: The Opportunity: As the Public Relations/Communication Coordinator for the Energy Program (EP), you will be responsible for developing and coordinating public relations and communication activities for Washington State University's Energy Program. You will write and edit articles, news releases, newsletters, brochures, web pages, social media content, and other materials, as well as support research and projects that advance the unit's communications and public relations goals. You will lead strategic engagement through digital media, including program websites, social media, blogs, newsletters, annual reports, and promotion of Energy Program publications. In this role, you will research and write original content for blogs, social media, reports, technical memos, and extension materials, and promote programs, projects, and engagement opportunities to both internal WSU and external audiences. You will develop and implement unit communication strategies; edit and proofread materials for blogs, newsletters, and reports; promote and facilitate internal communications; and create visual media such as figures, graphics, and other design elements. You will also ensure adherence to digital accessibility guidelines and perform other duties as required. Additional Information: This is a full time (100% FTE), temporary position. Overtime eligibility will be determined based on final salary placement. Temporary End Date: This is a temporary position expected to end on June 30th, 2027. Renewal is dependent on the need for extension and/or if additional funding is secured to extend employment. Monthly Salary: $4,689.05 - $7,033.58 | with experience and qualifications In accordance with RCW 49.58.110, the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position. Individual placement within the range is based on the candidate's current experience, education, skills, and abilities related to the position.
